Thai Son Nam’s Journey to the 2013 AFC Futsal Club Championships

Thai Son Nam is in a group with Indonesian club Pelindo FC and Australian club Dural Warriors. The other group includes GH Bank Rbac (Thailand), Shenzen Nanling Tielang FC (China), Pasargad (Philippines), and Tainan City (Taiwan-China). The top three teams from the 2012 AFC Futsal Club Championships, including teams from Iran, Uzbekistan, and Japan, have already earned automatic byes to the finals. The remaining two spots will be determined in the South and Central Asian zone qualifier tournaments.

Thai Son Nam’s Previous Success in the AFC Futsal Club Championships

This is the second time Thai Son Nam has participated in the tournament and is the only Vietnamese team to make it to the final round. Last year, the team made it through to the 2012 Asian Futsal Club Championships final round after earning second place in the East and Southeast Asian zone qualifiers.
